Sal Damore,   The generic name for Aceon is perindopril erbumine, and is a drug in the class known as Angiotensin Converting Enzyme blockers (ACE Inibitors).  Lisinopril is a generic ACE Inhibitor, but is not the generic for aceon.  These two drugs are in the same class, do the same thing, but are not identical in formulation.    I hope this information has been helpful.    Thank you.   Martin Cane, M.D.
