  cathy,   Thanks for your question.  First, I want to assure you that you did the right thing in just resuming your normal dose, without trying to "catch up."    Avalide is a combination of an ACE inhibitor (Angiotensin converting enzyme blocker) and a diuretic.  They work well together in getting your pressure down.  The ACE inhibitor portion is long acting, so once a day dosing is possible.  Missing a dose may have a slight affect on pressure, but in all likelihood, your dizziness is not from this.  If your symptoms do not improve, I suggest you contact your physician for an appointment to have your pressure checked, as well as looking for other causes for your symptoms.   Best wishes.   Martin Cane, M.D.
