If 10 mg of Ramipril with 250 mg or resveratrol cause dizziness can the Ramipril be reduced?

Harriett

My husband has been taking Ramipril (10 mg) for about 1 year. We would like to see if taking resveratrol will help his cholesterol. He does not have heart problems. But has had 1 TIA. We would like to see if after 5 months when he is to get another blood test and checkup whether the resveratrol is having a positive effect. He has been extremely tired in the evening for at least 6 to 8 months. He has been taking the resveratrol  for 1 month and is now sometimes dizzy and fuzzy headed.   Do you think it is a good idea to ask his dr if we can reduce the Ramipril at least until his next checkup and blood test? A typical  BP for him is 119/78. He takes Zetia(10 mg) and Plavix(75mg).

Hi Harriett,

There is nothing wrong with discussing your husbands symptoms to determine if another treatment option, such as reduced dosage, would be appropriate.

All the best,
