can blood pressure medication cause emotions to change

Hi Everybody,I am a reasonably fit 67 yr old and have just recently...

have been on different blood pressure meds and find the one I am currently taking is doing its job,Blood pressure is now 120/80.The medication is "Atacand".I now find that my emotions are all over the place! Cry at the least little thing but am not depressed.Is this a side effect?
