Topics:Low Pulse Rate

I have several health issuses and am on several blood pressure medications and have been for years. Just the last few days I have been feeling so bad so I started taking my blood pressure more often. I have seen that upon rising my pulse drops down in the low 40's and upon sitting even a little while it goes back to normal or even a little high. My blood pressure has been better than it normally is. What is causing such a low pulse rate and my extreme fatigue? I am a 57 year old female.

BP meds, such as beta blockers, reduce heart rate. A pulse of 40 is low, usual range 60-100 bpm.

I suggest you speak to your doctor about your dosages.
