Sudden Rise in Blood Pressure

I have always had normal blood pressure in the range of 112-120/65-70. I hadn't checked it in a few months and all of a sudden it has been in the range of 136-149/85-90. Sudden large jump in blood pressure within 6 weeks postpartum

I am a 35 year old female whose blood pressure has hardly varied from 110-120 over 60-70, including during my 5th pregnancy. Side Effects of High Blood Pressure Medication

I have been taking Divan for three months and it has caused sexual dysfunction. Are there any effective drugs for Hypertension that do not cause this side effect, any suggestions?

BP rises dramatically when resting, why ?

My systolic BP jumps about 30 points when I am dozing off, resting, watch tv etc. (i.e no activity). However, it returns to normal after being active again, ,walking eating, exercising etc.Usually happens in the afternoon just a few hours after taking meds ( Toprol XL and Atacand) .Why ?
