Your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.

This drug should not be used with the following medication because very serious (possibly fatal) interactions may occur:
- telithromycin
If you are currently using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting this product.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of:
- aliskiren
- hormonal birth control (e.g., pills, patch, ring)
- clopidogrel
- daptomycin
- digoxin
- drugs affecting liver enzymes that remove atorvastatin from your body (such as azole antifungals including itraconazole/ketoconazole, certain macrolide antibiotics including erythromycin/clarithromycin/troleandomycin, HIV protease inhibitors including indinavir/ritonavir, amiodarone, cyclosporine, diltiazem, efavirenz, nefazodone, rifampin, St. John's wort, carbamazepine)
Check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products, diet aids, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs-NSAIDs for pain/fever reduction) because they may contain ingredients that could increase your heart rate or blood pressure. Ask your pharmacist about using those products safely.
