Is High Blood Pressure A Cardiovascular Disease?

University of California, Irvine researchers say 75 percent of
American adults with conditions that increase their risk for heart
disease also have high blood pressure. The study found that most
people with cardiovascular diseases and related problems have high
blood pressure, including 76.8 percent of those with diabetes, 81.8
percent of those with chronic kidney disease, and 73.7 percent of
those with peripheral artery disease.
