Study: Elderly benefit from high blood pressure treatment

Many doctors have been reluctant to treat hypertension in the elderly, believing that treatment in these patients may do more harm than good. But researchers at Yale University School of Medicine say that treating high blood pressure in people over age 80 can reduce the rates of stroke, heart failure, and death from cardiovascular disease.
