The Food and Drug Administration has approved a generic version of the hypertension drug Prinzide. Like the brand name formula of the drug, generic Lisinopril-HCTZ combines the ACE inhibitor lisinopril with the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide and is approved for the treatment of high blood pressure.
