A new study has found that Celebrex raises blood pressure compared with placebo, but it does not increase pressure as much as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Aleve (naproxen) and Advil (ibuprofen). Both types of medicines cause patients to retain salt and water, which leads to swelling and increased blood pressure.
