Upcoming Tweet Chat: Celiac Awareness
HealthCentral is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a celiac disease #HealthTipsChat tweet chat on Thursday, May 22, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern Time. The tweet chat will be moderated by The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center via the Twitter handle @CureCeliac. The University of Chicago Medicine will also participate and answer questions via the Twitter handle @UChicagoMed.
The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center was founded in 2001 by Dr. Stefano Guandalini. The center works toward educating the public, improving diagnosis, and expanding research for celiac disease across the United States. A network of doctors collaborates on running the center, along with several other medical professionals, to make a difference in the celiac community.
In honor of Celiac Awareness Month, the chat will debunk celiac disease myths, discuss symptoms and treatment, and provide tips on living gluten-free. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered, hear from real patients and health experts, and engage with Twitter users from all over the world.
If you have never participated in a HealthCentral tweet chat, use the hashtag #healthtipschat throughout the hour, and continually refresh your feed to read the most recent conversations and follow along. Mark your calendars, and join us on May 22 by clicking on this link.
