I FIND THAT LOADING UP ON PRO BIOTICS HELPS--AND OF COURSE-VERY LIGHT DIET FOR 3 TO 4 OR MORE DAYS--ALSO STAYING ON A REGULAR SUPPLEMENTATION WITH PROBIOTICS HELPS.

Before I was diagnosed with UC, I took ibuprofen all the time for any pain, and especially loaded up when I had menstrual cramps. So when I started having strange abdominal pain what did I do? You guesed it -- loaded up on more ibuprofen. Of course, the more pain I felt, the more ibuprofen I took. It was only after I was diagnosed and read about the effect of NSAIDs on the colon that I realized that instead of helping myself I was making myself worse (and perhaps even triggered the condition). Stay away from NSAIDs!
