I've been traveling this past week for business and to visit with some old friends. I know I've given some advice here and there about traveling but forget just how many little "adjustments" I make while away from my familiar surroundings.

Elizabeth - thanks so much for this post.  As I am a new moderator to the site, I am learning everyday how difficult IBD can be - and not just the trips to the bathroom!

But what is so encouraging is that you have learned how to get through this the best you can and still live a full life.  It sounds like it takes too much effort - but in the end the alternative would be staying at home all the time - not fun AT all.

I wish you well on your new venture (India).

If anyone else has tips for folks with IBD - please post them here.  In the meantime you can learn more about different lifesyle changes on our site - just click here.

    All the best, sue

    Thanks, Sue.

Traveling is a little tricky and takes some forethought but as I've proven it can be done.

I'm actually not traveling to India - my husband is there right now, due home Saturday - that is one country that is far too risky for most of us with IBD to even consider traveling to. So, I'll just have to live vicariously through his stories of adventure.

    Cheers,

    Elizabeth
