Hi Cure98,
I have UC not Crohn's but can tell you that the change of season does cause more IBD problems for me and others I know with IBD. We have no idea why but it happens every year in the fall and again in the spring. I can also have problems if there's a big weather change all of a sudden, i.e. big temperature changes, going from hot to cold overnight, or a big barometric pressure change can cause problems too.
I know this doesn't help you to cope with the flares any better but maybe just knowing you aren't alone will be somewhat helpful to you.
Good luck,
Elizabeth Roberts
Thanks for posting cure98. Sounds like thigns are a bit difficult right now for you.
I am a moderator for this site and though I am not medcally trained I can tllyou the most important thin for you to do is to speak to your doctor. If you have questions about Chrohn's and Fibro should talk to him or her about this.
No in the meantime, I was able to find information on our site that could be helpful while you are getting in to see you doctor. First, you might read about the basics in Understanding IBD. As well, there are web resources - some links to organization's focusing on pain and IBD - that might be helpful to finding more information.
Finally, we have two sections - one on treatment and one on drug information that you might also find helpful.
Please post back soon and let us know how you are feeling and what you doctor had to say.
All the best, sue
