When I was in a very bad flare last year, I definitely considered surgery - but it's such a scary thought! My doctor did not think it was necessary, and I'm (thankfully) doing well now - though on a lot of medicine! - but the idea is always at the back of my mind, in case I get really sick again. It's nice to know there are people out there, other than my doctor, who know a lot about it. It's a good support system!
