Omega-3 Fatty Acids for Crohn's Disease?

Have you been taking Omega-3 supplements to help your Crohn's symptoms?

 

Omega-3 fatty acids have been a popular alternative treatment for patients with Crohn's disease. But a new study shows that taking Omega-3 supplements does not help in the management of Crohn's disease.

 

Omega-3 fatty acids have an anti-inflammatory effect and are therefore often used to help treat arthritis. However, study participants taking a omega-3 supplements showed no difference in disease symptoms than participants taking a placebo.
