I was taking 8 pills a day of Apriso- but it stopped working, now Dr wants me to take Remicade

After reading the side effects- I really do not want to take it unless it is my last choice. I feel like I have only been on 3 mesalimines since I was diagnosed and would like to explore other options... any thoughts? thank you!

Besides Remicade, what other medications can be used for inflammatory bowel disease?

I have Ulcerative colitis and have been treated with Remicade, which seems to be losing effectiveness.
