At a Glance

Most cases of IBD, including Crohn's Disease, are diagnosed in people younger than 30.  As such, most patients are young children or young adults when diagnosed, though the disease can occur at any age.  Parents of children with IBD must help their child establish healthy nutrition habits that will best avoid Crohn's flares and provide emotional and physical support when flares do happen.
