What is IBD?
Crohn's Disease, also called regional enteritis is a chronic inflammation of the intestine and a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Generally, Crohn's Disease only affects the terminal portion of the small intestine, the ileum; but can occur in other parts of the gastrointestinal tract including the anus, stomach, esophagus or the mouth.
