Crohn's disease flares can happen at any time, but they are most likely to happen during times of high stress.  One way to keep stress at bay is through regular exercise.  Patients with chronic illnesses such as IBD are encouraged to make exercise a part of their daily life.  Exercise programs should always be started under the supervision of a physician, however.
