Pain Relief

At a Glance

IBD flares can cause severe cramping and pain in many people.  To alleviate these symptoms, doctors will often prescribe prescription pain killers.  Over the counter pain killers are also helpful for less severe bouts of IBD pain. Some patients also choose to treat symptoms with holistic methods such as acupuncture or yoga.
