Hi ya Bob   Your entry sounds like a page from my book. You dont mention whether you smoke or not but if you do, you must quit now. Cigarettes do indeed exacerbate the Crohns. I do believe that If I had quit sooner, I wouldnt have had to have 3 small bowel resections. Since I quit, about 11 yrs now, I have had flares but NO surgery. The uncontrollable bowel movements many not be Crohns. Mine are a side effect from the 1st surgery where the illeocecil valve was removed, so there is nothing left to hold the movement back. Any way, lately I have found that taking acidophilus capsules (the live cultures in yogurt ,*not a yogurt fan) and eating a banana with it, have helped TREMENOUSLY with controlling my bowel movements. Its been really nice to be able to get thru the nite without have to get up and change the bed and myself. I am actually experiencing days and nites that I dont have to wear Depends. I hope this helps. Hope you feel better really soon
