Hello, Bob.   Wow; things sure have been tough for you, especilly lately. I'm sorry.   To get right to your first question, a healthy, average adult has about twenty five or so feet of small bowel (intestines). Though it may seem as if getting rid of what you think is hurting you, is the answer--and, it also seems as if you have plenty to spare-- simply wacking parts of it off won't necessarily help you get better.   Unless you have strictures (blockages or narrowings in your intestines, usually from being inflamed, over and over again) that need to be removed, it's not likely that you need another resection of your small bowel.   Have you told your doctor how bad your symptoms have become? If not, please do! It may be time to change therapies; try something different. Have you been on Remicade or Humira? Cimzia? (Any of the biologicals?) Make an appointment to sit down and discuss new options.   I'm sensing a lot of frustration and unhappiness--which, under the circumstances, is totally understandable. Have you considered checking out IBD support groups in your area? You can find them through your GI doc's office, or on line at www.ccfa.org .   Good luck, Hope   Good luck.   Hope
