Is passing copious amounts of mucus several times a day something to be alarmed about?
Spasms and large amounts of mucus is keeping me prisoner of the bathroom! Is leg pain associated with IBD? Compression hose helps somewhat.
Hello Barba,
I've not heard of leg pain being associated with IBD. And mucus is usually more a symptom of IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrome. If you haven't done so already, make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your symptoms and possible treatments.
You may also want to start keeping a food diary to see if anything you are eating affects the frequency and amounts of mucus you are seeing in your stools. Keep this for at least 2 weeks, a month is even better. You can read my Sharepost about keeping a food diary.
Best of luck,
Elizabeth
