Can I pass this infection to the baby?

Hi Pat,

 

This is a question to ask the doctor treating your condition and possibly even your grandson's pediatrician. But, as far as I am aware, yes, you could pass this onto the baby or anybody else for that matter. C-Diff is contagious and you must be excessivly diligent about hand washing after bowel movements, keeping your bathroom very clean, etc.

 

If it were me, I wouldn't go near my grandson until I know the infection is cleared up. But, as I said, speak with your doctor or the pediatrician about this to confirm my information.
