Hi Judy,   Does her doctor know that she doesn't have insurance? Not his nurse or the front desk people but the doctor him or herself? He or she may be able to point her to help.   Or, she can contact the companies who make Humira and Remicade and see if they have a patient assistance program, which will sometimes give a patient a month or two or three of drugs for free.   Humira - www.humira.com - is made by Abbott Labs and gave the following info. on their web site - If you cannot afford your medication, contact: www.pparx.org or call the toll-free phone number (1-888-4PPA-NOW) for assistance.   Remicade is made by Centocore - www.remicade.com and she might want to try this phone # or mailing address to ask if they have any patient assistance for purchasing the medication. Phone Information for REMICADE: 1-888-779-9769 Write Centocor, Inc. Attention: REMICADE.com Commonwealth Corporate Center 800 Ridgeview DriveHorsham, PA 19044   Also, before she takes either of these medications she should fully discuss any and all possible side effects with her doctor. She can read about the drug and potential problems at the web sites listed above. While these drugs have been found very helpful for IBD patients they do carry inherent risks as well. Just be sure she is well informed ahead of time.   Best of luck, Elizabeth
