I had a small bowel resection 3 weeks ago, how long should I wait before I lift more than 10 pounds

I had successful small bowel resection 3 weeks ago and want to know when I can lift items more than 10 pounds.   Because of bacterial and Yeast infections, I was on heavy antibiotics for about 3 weeks.   P;ease reply ASAP.

You can lift items more than ten pounds according to the discharge instructions given by your surgeon.  If the surgeon, or the surgeon's assistant, or the charge nurse, or whomever did not provide you instructions regarding when you can resume lifting, you need to call his/her office to find out.  This just is not the sort of instruction or guidance Health Central or any of your fellow members can give you.  Sorry.
