Q: if a person is eating normally how long should you go without a bowel movement before it becomes dangerous? It has been about 12 days or so since i have gone.

Hello Blond,


If you have truly been eating normally and not had any sort of bowel movement in 12 days I would see my doctor. This is not normal, nor is it healthy, and could even be dangerous.


Have you tried a laxative, or drinking prune juice, or anything else to stimulate a BM?


When you call your doctors office I would tell them your situation so you can get in as soon as possible.
