My mom has been on cytotec for about 3weeks.. we wondered if she was having problems from this drug, since it was one of the most recent that she was given. She has been experiencing a lot of stomach discomfort, gas, low blood pressure and reduced heart rate. We called our local doctor to remove her from this med that the dr. in the hospital put her on. How long will it take to get out of her system?

Hi Janet,
I'm sorry to hear about the problems your Mom is having from this Rx medication. I really can't answer your question since I'm not a doctor. But, you should call her pharmacist and ask him or her this question, they'll be able to give you a well-informed answer about this and any other medications she is taking.
