IBD pain and mucus

I was diagnosed with IBS ten years ago went through all the tests and I am having a bad bout right now . When I get the pains they feel like contractions and there is mucus in both my stool and vaginal area . They just gave me some antispasmatic medicine will see if that helps, without too many side effects.. I was wondering if any other women have these symptoms..
