Hello.   What brings you this forum? Do you have Crohn's disease, or ulcerative colitis?   It seems like you're describing what it's like to straining with hard stool when you're constipated.   Just about everyone strains every so often, but, in general, such hard straining is not good for you. Over time, it can result in fissures, hemorrhoids, internal muscle damage, or all of these things.   I'd suggest that you think about what is causing your constipation (are you drinking enough water each day? eating enough fiber/ fruits/vegetables? getting enough exercise, such as walking, each day?), and make the necessary changes to improve your digestive health.   Here is a link to patient information on constipation from the American College of Gastroenterology: www.acg.gi.org/patients/gihealth/constipation.asp   Hope
