I have had bowel problems since Jr. high. I am 57 now. I just lost 58 lbs in 4 mos. I have a bulge above mynavel that when when pushed on sends pain to lower left side, and lower back. I just lost G. bladder, but it wasnt in bad shape. I also hurt across upper back after a meal. I am at a loss, and tired of pain.  I have had rectal bleeding off and on since 1989.  I had a colonoscopy 3 yrs. ago, and the Dr. said my accending colon was full of ulcers.  He put me on 3 antibiotics, then he quit accepting my insurance.  This is ruining my life.

Hello, Linda; thank you for posting. I'm sorry you have been having so much difficulty.

This forum is dedicated to issues and concerns related to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), but I will tell you that an unintentional weight loss of 58 pounds in four months is concerning.

Please contact your insurance company's customer service call center (or refer to your insurance plan booklet), and get the names and phone numbers of a few local GI docs and/or internists in your local area, who participate in your insurance plan. Make an appointment with the one who will see you soonest.

Good luck.

Hope
