Hello Nana, This is a question best asked of your doctor/surgeon. Flat polyps can be cancerous so it should be removed to be biopsied. But I can't see why at this point, from what you've described, they would remove your colon. I would be sure to discuss with your doctor/surgeon exactly what they plan to do in this upcoming surgery before your surgery day. Best, Elizabeth
