What is the difference between IBD and IBS?

My dr. has diagnosed me with IBS..I usually don't have an occurance very often... I also have diverticulitosis...what is the connection between this and IBS?  I am going through a bout with it now, but have almost got it under control with Citrucel supplements, but would like to know where I…
