Laura pointed you to a few of my posts on food for IBD, but if you are in a flare-up the safest foods to eat are what I call "white and light" - bananas, white rice, toast, eggs (poached or scrambled) applesauce, yogurt (natural, no sugar), and baked chicken or white fish.   Hope this and my other blog posts are helpful to you!   Cheers, Elizabeth
