He has foul smelling stools which he always has, but they are very smelly. He has severe allergies to peanut and milder allergy to milk, soy, almond and egg and has an intolerance to Gluten. As a baby he was a milkaholic and all he used to want to eat was fromage frais yogurt and wheat foods. So looking back he has always had problems. For the first 5 years of his life he had yellow stools and none were formed all were runny. I spoke to my doctor about this when he was younger but no help was offered and I was told not to worry. Looking back at his photos he had a big belly when he was younger and also had bright red cheeks and ears and rashes on the body. My question is I suspect that he has candida overgrowth and am thinking of using threelac to treat this. What do you think???

Hi Elizabeth,
Many Thanks for your answer.
Yes Louis is on a gluten free, casien free and soy free diet. Which is very beneficial as I do see results from this and if he eats bread with gluten in it by accident. What a nightmare so although I have had Louis tested for celiac allergy and he does not show allergic to it, he does have an intollerance to gluten which is sooo visible by his behaviour. Thats enough evidence for me.
Louis tests positive to allergy (IGe) for the following
Peanuts
milk
soy
almond
egg white
We avoid these things.
Louis takes melatonin at night (fantastic sleep aid but I see the benefit from the anti oxidant properties in this also.
Louis takes ALC (Acetyl L Carnitine)
NAC (N Acetyl Cysteine)
and EFA's every day.
I see a positive result with these. But I have been listening to so much research regarding yeast and gut issues. That I am looking into the probiotics and the benefits to these to restore the natural flora within the Gut as really smelly stools often can indicate that there are imbalances with the gut flora. Etc
I appreciate your help and advice.
I will research and look into finding others who can help.
Amy
