Thanks for writing, Chandra.   It is not unusual for IBD to manifest itself outside of the digestive tract in some forms of the disease. In this regard, certain skin conditions are known to be related to Crohn's and/or IBD, particularly during a flare, or when an IBD patient's system is weakened by immunosuppressant therapy.   However, Mesacol is not an immunosuppressant, and a skin in a toe is not known to be related to Crohn's disease.   I suspect that your wife has athlete's foot; that is, tinea pedis, a common form of fungus, between her toes.   Here's a link to info about athlete's foot, from the National Institutes of Health: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/athletesfoot.html   Hope
