Pale stools - hepatitis?

Can this be hepatitis?

The websites I’ve read link pale stools with hepatitis.  I am concerned.  Five days ago I developed a headache which persisted for about 40 hours.  Tylenol did not work.  A few hours after the headache I had a few bouts of yellowish/pale diarrhea.  That cleared up quickly with imodium and has not returned.  The day after the headache started I felt weak, tired and had little appetite.  I rested, drank liquids and felt much better the following morning.  At no time did I have a temperature.  Since then my appetite has been normal and there are no symptoms that I can see other that pale/yellowish stools – longer and thinner than normal.  I thought hepatitis was a lingering illness that produced exhaustion over a prolonged period of time however I was really tired just one day.  What could be going on?

Hi Nigel,

There is no way to diagnose what could be wrong, if anything, over the internet. You really need to check with your doctor about your symptoms. It could be something as simple as a virus or flu, or something that you've eaten. Before jumping to conclusions or freaking yourself out needlessly, do call and make an appt. with your GP.

Cheers,

Elizabeth
