Hi Gale,

I don't know why you're on a low residue diet, but most people who follow this diet do so because of increased diarrhea, bloating, abdominal pain, etc. That said, fruits and veggies can be hard on an already sensitive gut. So, go ahead and try a few cherries, like 3 or 4, and see how you do with them. It's important not to overdo with any one food. And it's best not to eat the same foods on back-to-back days just in case they do cause you issues.

Sorry there's no certain answer. But what causes problems for one doesn't cause problems for all. And what works for one doesn't work for all either. So, there's a lot of trial and error when it comes to diet and what works and what doesn't.

Try it, just don't go overboard.

Cheers,

Elizabeth
