Friday, June 20, 2008 Arozi asks

Q: how do you wean entocort?

I've been on entocort for five weeks and my BMs are normal.  I have tried contacting my doctor for over a week now to get an answer to the question: "Should I start weaning?"  I put in the first call to the doctor's office to ask this on June 13; today is June 20 and I still have not received a reply.  I intend to wean it on my own, but want to do so safely. I just need to know the weaning protocol.

Thanks.

If you are intent on doing it yourself, you can find the suggested protocol at: http://www.entocortec.com/HCP/Indications.asp.  I'd suggest that you do not do it without your physician's blessing though.

Good luck!
