Q: 32 yr history of crohn's/now have peripheral neurothopy in both feet

gi dr says it is due to lack of vitamin absorption because of 4 previous bowel resections of my iliem, very painful, is anyone else dealing with this and if so, what have your doctors told you about it?

Wow; I'm sorry to read this, gotguts.

 

Seems like you are describing a B-vitamin deficiency. Has your doctor recommended B-12 injections?

 

Are you taking targeted medication (such as Neurontin) to help with the neuropathy?

 

What about complementary treatments, such as biofeedback and/or acupuncture? (Couldn't hurt...Wink)

I have had Crohns for 40 years and I also have neurothopy in both feet.  It is only mild.  Dr. didn't say much about it and my feet tingles.  I just deal with it.

I also have problems with my feet 40 years of Crohns.

I was diagnosed many years ago with restless leg syndrome and you can ask your dr for meds to control it
