Mary, thank you for writing, and I'm sorry you are not feeling well.

Can you please provide more information? Do you have Crohn's or UC? (Or, has a doctor told that you have some other condition?) MyIBDCentral.com is a site dedicated to information and issues related to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

It's important eat high fiber foods, and drink lots of fluids-- about eight to ten servings everyday--so that your body is kept well hydrated and constipation is prevented. Walking for at least an hour each day will help prevent constipation, too (and walking is good for so many other reasons!!!!!!!!).

Your doctor may want to prescribe a stool softener (not a laxative!) if hard stools are a problem. Talk to him/her about this.

Take care,

Hope

Squat when you poo, as opposed to sitting down.  I personally CURED my Crohns completely in less than 2 months!  Go to naturesplatform.com and do some research.  Oh and ANY other gastro conditions (hemmeroids, IBS, colon cancer, prostate cancer, diverticulitis, etc) will be cured as well.  Two-thirds of the world squats, but not Western Society, where we give you meds to ease the symptoms and take your money.  If you are an older individual, you may or may not be able to adapt to the squat position.  Practice daily before you try it.  What do you have to lose?
