About 24 hours I go I developed a fever, chills, no appetite, body aches, nausea and looser stools. How do I tell if this is a normal sickness or if the UC is causing these issues? I know UC can cause other issues such as fever. The thing that is strange though is my UC was somewhat controlled ealier in the week now it seems to be worse.

PJA,

Sounds more like the flu than a UC flare-up. But, that said, a flu is serious and can and will cause diarrhea. So, drink plenty of fluids, eat chicken soup - if you can - and get plenty of rest. If your symptoms get much worse or aren't improved by Monday I'd call your doctor.

Best,

Elizabeth
