constipation and what can happen

i have been on pain pills on a daily basis for few years, and i know that can cause constpation, but i sometimes dont go for days, and now im experiencing all these joint problems and pain and achy body extreme tiredness, sometimes it wakes me up and i cant even move leg form the pain and stiffness...
