Q: Can this be a pregnancy?

I'm 44, had 2 healthy babies in my 20's. Now, I've missed 2 periods & have hot flashes at night, not sweating tho. Nothing else is wrong: no breast or back pain, no moring sickness, nothing. My stomach feels like the beginning of a pregnancy, but I"ve taken 2 home tests & both say negative. My stomach mostly is active at night, while I'm trying to sleep, along with the hot flashes. Any help?

Worried, you should contact your normal physician or schedule an appointment with your gynecologist as soon as possible.  He or she will talk with you about your recent medical history, and give you tests to check out your hormone levels, and key blood tests.  The symptoms you mention could be the result of a range of changes in how your body is working unrelated to pregnancy, but you should get it checked out by a professional.
