Q: does ulcerative colitis cause black stools

Hello Coley,

 

There probably isn't one right answer to your question. So, you need to make an appointment to see your doctor. Truly black colored stools can indicate blood in the stool which could be from UC or ulcers, or a number of other things. If this is occuring routinely you really should get checked out by your doctor.
