I think you're asking about eosinophilic enteritis, where high amounts of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) infiltrate the small intestine. Toxins are released, often resulting in inflammation, tissue errosion and damage, and pain.
Eosinophilic enteritis is one type of several eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDs) While some symptoms may be similar, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders are not the same as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
