Immunosuppressive Medications
Imunnosupressant drugs are used to inhibit the immune system from producing an inflammatory response, which causes ulcerative colitis. These drugs, which are used alone and in combination, are typically used when the disease has not responded to other treatments, or for maintenance of remissions.
