This drug may make you dizzy; use caution while engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages.
This medication may cause stomach bleeding. Daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. Check with your doctor or pharmacist for more information.
Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the drug, especially kidney problems and effects on the blood (e.g., blood dyscrasias).
This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
This medication passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of:
- drugs that may be harmful to your kidneys (e.g., NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, indomethacin)
- methotrexate
